A leading UK-wide facilities management provider is continuing to strengthen its Electrical division across South Yorkshire. The organisation delivers specialist technical services to major retail and commercial clients, supporting large-scale estates with planned and reactive maintenance solutions. With a strong national presence and a reputation for operational excellence, the business provides fully integrated maintenance services across fire safety, security systems, electrical, and building compliance disciplines. An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join the Doncaster area, delivering maintenance and compliance services across designated retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
- To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
- To advise the Facilities Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
- To manage the attendance of any subcontractors if required in line with the Facilities Manager request and company process.
- To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Facilities Manager.
- To carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
- To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required.
- To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
- To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
Qualifications
- Full Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
- 18th Edition AM2
- 2391 (Desirable)
- BS7671 Electrical Safety Certificate.
- Proven experience carrying out electrical installations within commercial properties.
- Strong knowledge of testing, inspection and certification procedures.
- Experience diagnosing and rectifying faults across commercial electrical systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
- £39,000 Base Salary (OTE £45,000)
- Door-to-Door Pay
- On Call 1 in 5 Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
- 33 Days Holiday (Including Bank Holiday)
