About the Role
As part of the Facilities Management Team, you will take on a crucial role in delivering a variety of planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance tasks. The position involves general building fabric and grounds-related works such as joinery, tiling, minor roofing and guttering, drainage, flooring, paving, and more, as directed through the company’s Helpdesk system.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality maintenance services to a wide range of clients, maintaining strong attention to detail and commitment to best practices.
- Use initiative to resolve technical challenges, source parts, and liaise with manufacturers as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes, meeting safety regulations and contract standards.
- Complete accurate reporting, maintenance logs, and risk control documentation.
- Use electronic devices (e.g., PDAs) to manage and record job completion.
- Maintain close communication with the Helpdesk and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Carry out point-of-work risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients on site.
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency response across contracts.
