We're looking for an experienced National Training Manager to join Project Solar UK and build, lead and continuously evolve our national sales training function. This is a unique opportunity to shape the development of a high-performing sales team that helps homeowners make informed decisions about investing in solar energy.

Working closely with the Sales Director and Regional Managers, you will develop and deliver a best-in-class training strategy that drives capability, performance and customer experience. You'll play a pivotal role in elevating sales standards, embedding a culture of continuous learning and developing the next generation of top-performing sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Project Solar UK's national sales training function, creating a high-performance learning culture that supports consultant development, engagement and long-term success.
  • Design, deliver and continuously enhance comprehensive onboarding programmes that accelerate new starter readiness, confidence, productivity and retention.
  • Develop and implement a national sales training strategy that improves sales capability, conversion rates, customer experience and overall business performance.
  • Partner with the Sales Director and Regional Managers to identify training needs, address capability gaps and deliver targeted development initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Create and deliver engaging classroom, virtual and field-based training programmes covering product knowledge, consultative selling techniques, objection handling, compliance and customer engagement.
  • Coach and develop sales consultants through observations, one-to-one feedback and structured development plans, helping individuals maximise their performance and potential.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on training effectiveness, sales performance metrics and key KPIs, using insights to drive continuous improvement and measurable results.
  • Ensure all training content, materials and delivery methods remain accurate, compliant, commercially relevant and aligned with company values and objectives.
  • Support the successful rollout of new products, processes, sales initiatives and best practice frameworks across the sales division.
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Managers to ensure consistent sales standards, behaviours and customer experiences are embedded across all regions.
  • Identify and nurture high-potential talent, supporting succession planning and the development of future sales leaders.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, coaching, accountability and excellence throughout the sales organisation.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience designing and delivering successful sales training programmes
  • Strong coaching and performance improvement expertise
  • A proven ability to work within KPI-driven sales environments
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities
  • Experience within direct sales or in-home sales environments (highly desirable)
  • Flexibility to travel nationally as required
