Role Overview: As a Payroll Coordinator/Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the UK payroll for our PAYE and contractor base. Your role will ensure accurate and timely payments, compliance with current legislation, and effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for temporary PAYE and freelance contractors.
  • Collect and verify timesheets from candidates and clients promptly.
  • Utilise payroll software and in-house CRM software to complete payroll tasks.
  • Manage statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, PAYE, and National Insurance contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from contractors and clients efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration between payroll and the onboarding processes.

Person Specification:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role. Experience using Xero preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office with the confidence and ability to use and learn our in-house databases/system.
  • A high level of organisation.
  • An effective and logical thinker with the ability to multitask and prioritise important tasks.
  • Diligent commitment to accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to your workload.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with excellent time management.
