Senior Software Developer ( SC Cleared )
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Senior Software Developer with Active SC Cleareance to be based at their client's office in Newcastle/London/Leeds/Manchester/Blackpool/Sheffield, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Newcastle/London/Leeds/Manchester/Blackpool/Sheffield office 1-2 days per week
This is a 12 month temporary contract to start ASAP

The Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you will develop and maintain software products and contribute to their design within a multi functional Agile delivery team. You will be responsible for the operational stability of the products you build and will help improve their ongoing robustness and resilience.
This role expects full stack capability. You will be proficient in Back End technologies and databases while also being able to build Front End user interfaces (UIs), translating designs into implementations that consider user experience, performance, and security.
You will work with modern cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), including serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS), containerized platforms, APIs and microservice/event-driven architectures (Kafka), supported by CI/CD pipelines.
You will work on evolving digital services, including partially developed user interfaces, supporting iterative delivery towards MVP and customer-facing solutions. You will collaborate closely with UCD, DevOps, and product teams, adapting solutions based on user feedback and supporting both UI and Back End development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software products for digital services and contribute to solution design
Build full-stack applications using Java (8+), Node.js, Spring Boot, and modern Front End frameworks (Angular preferred)
Work on existing and evolving UI components, supporting iterative development towards MVP and production-ready user journeys
Collaborate with DevOps, UCD, and Agile delivery teams to support design, deployment, testing, and continuous improvement
