We’re looking for an Operational Health & Safety Manager to join our HSQE team within Property, Legal & Estates. This is a key role supporting safe operations across our national estate and ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance.
This position reports to the Head of HSQE and plays a central part in driving a positive safety culture and supporting operational teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Operational Health & Safety Manager include:
- Advising on operational Health & Safety risks across site maintenance and estates assurance projects
- Supporting teams to assess hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans
- Providing governance across the central estate risk register
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on H&S performance and emerging risks
- Working with Estates, Legal, and suppliers to identify and manage site-related safety issues
- Supporting incident investigations and contributing to continuous improvement
- Maintaining accurate records, corrective actions, and compliance documentation
The successful Operational Health & Safety Manager will have:
- Strong regulatory knowledge within mobile infrastructure, telecoms, or construction
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections
- Understanding of ISO 45001 and CDM Regulations
- NEBOSH Certificate (Construction preferred; General minimum)
- 3+ years in an operational telecoms or construction environment
- IOSH membership desirable
- Confident communicator with strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and committed to high safety standards
