We are seeking an ACCA-qualified Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team, taking ownership of Capex accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting, forecasting, and month-end activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working with complex financial data, driving reporting excellence, and partnering with stakeholders across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting audit and statutory requirements, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely monthly Capex reporting, forecasts, and financial performance commentary.
• Manage month-end accounting activities, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring the accuracy of capital expenditure, work-in-progress (WIP), and asset retirement obligations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.
• Own and manage the Capex forecasting process, working closely with stakeholders on budget submissions and updates.
• Support statutory reporting requirements and external audit processes.
• Deliver insightful analysis to identify key trends, risks, opportunities, and variances.
• Support customer billing activities and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes, and reporting.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial information.

About You

• Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
• Excellent knowledge of journals, reconciliations, fixed assets, and statutory reporting.
• Experience supporting external audits and maintaining robust financial controls.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Agresso or similar financial platforms.
• Experience within infrastructure, telecoms, construction, engineering, or other project-based environments.
