Finance Accountant - ACCA (property & revenue) in Theale

Permanent - Theale - 3 days/week in the office

We’re looking for a qualified Finance Accountant (ACCA) to join a leading telecoms business, supporting the finance activities across property, Capex and revenue.

This is a varied role for an accountant who enjoys working with complex financial data, partnering with stakeholders and getting into the detail behind the numbers. You’ll take ownership of key month-end, reporting, forecasting and financial control activities, while helping the wider business understand financial performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the monthly Capex financial results, including analysis, reconciliations and supporting commentary.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring WIP and asset retirement obligations are accurately reflected.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Support customer billing and revenue-related activities, ensuring financial data is complete and accurate.
• Manage the Capex forecast, working with stakeholders on budgets, updates and approvals.
• Provide insightful variance analysis and performance commentary, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support statutory reporting and external audit requirements, including preparation of supporting information and footnotes.
• Work closely with teams across Finance and the wider business to ensure financial information is accurately captured across multiple systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Respond to ad hoc financial queries and contribute to wider continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for

• Experience of Capex, fixed assets, WIP and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of month-end, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting audit and statutory reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling and working with large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicating financial information to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
• Experience of ERP/finance systems; Agresso would be advantageous.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.

ADVANCED EXCEL is essential and there will be an Excel test during the interview process.
