We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in telecom power and energy systems to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, assuring, and supporting power infrastructure solutions across telecommunications network deployments, ensuring they meet customer, operational, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with customers, engineering teams, and delivery stakeholders, you will provide technical leadership and specialist expertise across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for telecom power and energy solutions.
- Design, review, and assure power infrastructure solutions, including battery systems, backup power, PSUs, and site energy architecture.
- Translate customer requirements into compliant, practical, and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Produce solution designs, technical documentation, and architecture deliverables.
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to provide technical guidance and solution assurance.
- Support bids, proposals, and technical reviews through risk assessment and expert input.
- Review electrical designs to ensure compliance with UK regulations, customer standards, and industry best practice.
- Work closely with engineering, deployment, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable and deployable.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide specialist support for power and site infrastructure.
- Promote reliability, resilience, safety, and operational excellence across all solutions.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of telecom site power architecture and resilience principles.
- Proven electrical installation and infrastructure experience.
- Experience developing technical solutions within telecoms, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements into practical solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working across multiple teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
- Applicants should hold, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience to:
- C&G Level 4 2396 Electrical Design or equivalent.
- Level 4 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (BS7671).
- Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (BS7671).
- Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installations (18th Edition BS7671).
- 2330 Level 2 & 3 Certificates in Electrotechnical Engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Services.
