Are you an experienced electrical telecoms professional with a strong background in design, installation, inspection, testing and certification? This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting a large-scale electrical remediation programme across critical national infrastructure β ensuring electrical works are safe, compliant, correctly designed and delivered to the required standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing electrical designs, drawings and remedial solutions before works commence.
- Reviewing handover packs following completion of work.
- Assessing completed installations through certification, photographic and video evidence.
- Validating compliance with British Standards, regulations and technical specifications.
- Managing quality assurance, governance and approval processes.
- Identifying defects, challenging non-compliant works and supporting corrective actions.
- Working closely with Electrical, Operations, project teams and delivery partners.
- Supporting the successful delivery of a high-priority electrical remediation programme.
What we're looking for:
You'll bring extensive electrical industry experience, alongside strong technical assurance and compliance knowledge gained within the telecoms industry.
Essential:
- Proven experience across electrical design, installation, inspection, testing and certification.
- Experience using Modecsoft Electrical OM.
- Strong understanding of current British Standards, electrical regulations and industry best practice.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical documentation and certification.
- Experience reviewing electrical installations and validating remedial works.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Essential qualifications:
- You must hold:
- City & Guilds 2396 β Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds 2391 OR 2394/2395 β Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds 2382 β 18th Edition Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018).
Knowledge of the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme and its requirements would be advantageous.
