Process Mapping & Value Stream Specialist - BPMN Contract to the end of the year Mobile Telecoms Reading - this is a workshop led role, so the requirement to be in the office is likely to be 3 days/week, sometimes more.
The Process Mapping & Value Stream Specialist plays a key role within the Quality Assurance & Operational Excellence function, supporting transformation into an Infrastructure Manager. You’ll lead hands‑on process discovery and value stream mapping to create clear, standardised views of how work is done today—and how it should operate tomorrow. Working closely with leaders, operational teams, and the supply chain, you’ll turn complex end‑to‑end processes into clear, practical BPMN 2.0 process models that drive consistency, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Why this role matters: Clear, well‑designed processes are essential to safe, compliant, and efficient delivery across the mobile infrastructure operations. This role ensures the organisation understands its end‑to‑end value streams, identifies waste and friction, and embeds standard ways of working that scale as the company's operating model evolves. By combining value stream thinking with detailed process modelling, you’ll help reduce risk, improve flow, and deliver better outcomes for the shareholders.
What you’ll be here to do: You’ll lead and deliver hands‑on process mapping and improvement activity at pace. You’ll:
- Plan, facilitate, and deliver value stream mapping workshops with cross‑functional teams
- Capture end‑to‑end ‘as‑is’ processes, including activities, decisions, roles, systems, controls, and hand‑offs
- Produce high‑quality BPMN 2.0 process models in the process modelling toolset
- Translate insights into pragmatic ‘to‑be’ process options and improvement opportunities
- Identify wastes, constraints, risks, and inefficiencies across value streams
- Document business rules, exceptions, and decision logic clearly and consistently
- Maintain and improve the process landscape with clear ownership and governance
- Support teams to embed processes into day‑to‑day ways of working through clear guidance
- Balance multiple workstreams and deliver high volumes of process documentation personally
Who we’re looking for: You’re a hands‑on business process specialist who enjoys getting close to the detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture. You’re comfortable working at pace, engaging stakeholders, and turning complexity into clarity. You’ll have:
- Strong BPMN 2.0 process modelling experience (as‑is and to‑be)
- Proven value stream mapping facilitation with actionable outputs
- Experience producing high volumes of process documentation personally
- Familiarity with process modelling tools (GBTEC BIC preferred; Visio acceptable)
- A lean, continuous‑improvement mindset and strong communication skills
If you also have the following, we’re especially interested in talking to you: Experience in lean‑mature environments, telecoms, or regulated/ISO settings.
