Contract role in Reading | Hybrid (2 / 3 days in office)
In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the business and external advisors to deliver high-quality financial reporting and technical accounting outputs. You will play a key role in shaping reporting for complex strategic initiatives, so strong communication, influencing, and project management skills are essential.
What You Will Be Doing
- Preparing and supporting the creation of detailed technical accounting papers for complex and material transactions under IFRS
- Delivering accurate, timely financial information to support strategic project reporting
- Leading and coordinating multiple workstreams across the CFO function and external advisors
- Challenging external advisors to drive efficiency and high-quality outputs
- Supporting automation, process improvement, and reporting enhancement initiatives
- Ensuring all reporting meets audit requirements and stands up to scrutiny from internal and external stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Accountant with experience in large or listed organisations
- Deep IFRS knowledge - especially IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 (UK GAAP a bonus)
- Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments (Telco experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of reporting automation and process improvement
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Proven experience leading or contributing to complex project work and delivering credible results
- Excellent financial reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and financial modelling capabilities
