This is an initial 6 month contract role working for a high profile telecoms company that requires an In-Building DAS Design Engineer to be responsible for the Pre and post sales designs of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Neutral Host Inbuilding systems to enhance wireless communication within buildings. This role involves reviewing survey test data and building plans to plan and design systems to ensure reliable and high-quality wireless coverage for cellular systems in building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop detailed designs for in-building DAS, including system architecture, equipment selection, and layout.
  • System Integration: Oversee the integration of DAS with existing wireless networks, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
  • Testing and Optimization: Review site surveys & RF testing to enable design optimization to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system diagrams and test reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and other key stakeholders i.e commercial teams to ensure project requirements are met and delivered on time.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements ie JOTS.

Experience needed:

Deep understanding of RF propagation, site selection processes, and the interaction between coverage and capacity with adjoining macro and DAS or Neutral host inbuilding systems. Experience in DAS design or iBwave or Ericsson Dot along with implementation, with a strong focus on in-building systems.
