Credit Risk Analyst

12 Month contract

Glasgow office – 2 days a week/Home

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be at the forefront of decision-making. Your insights and data-driven recommendations will directly impact our credit policies, strategies, and overall success.

Job Description

  • Monitor, maintain and enhance critical credit scorecards and decisioning performance across consumer and business journeys.
  • Collaborate with other team leads to identify risks, improve processes, and optimize connections to our network.
  • Engage with stakeholders across different business areas to align strategies and achieve company goals.
  • Provide valuable feedback on propositions, projects, and services.
  • Analyze data using Excel, SAS, Alteryx, and Python to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Challenge existing credit policies and propose effective changes.
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc tasks, delivering actionable insights to drive positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and developing credit scorecards (Essential).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.). VBA knowledge is beneficial.
  • Recent experience analyzing data using SAS/SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools (within the last 6 months).
  • Mathematical or finance-related degree or proven experience at a senior/lead analyst level.
