Weβre looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join a growing Procurement team, supporting sourcing, supplier management, contracting and commercial activity across IT, Digital and Professional Services.
Youβll support the end-to-end Source-to-Contract process, working closely with the Category Manager and stakeholders across IT, Digital, Finance, HR, Legal, Risk and other business functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and running RFIs, RFQs and RFPs
- Managing supplier engagement, onboarding and due diligence
- Supporting commercial negotiations and contract renewals
- Maintaining contract and procurement pipelines
- Analysing pricing, spend, savings and supplier performance
- Supporting supplier risk, governance and compliance
- Preparing procurement documentation, evaluation materials and recommendations
- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working
Weβre looking for someone with experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, contract administration or a commercial support role.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience supporting sourcing or tender activity
- Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
- Good commercial awareness and analytical ability
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Exposure to IT, Digital, Professional Services or indirect procurement is desirable
- CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS is a bonus
This would suit someone who is commercially minded, organised, proactive and keen to develop their procurement career within a broad IT and Digital category environment.
