MBNL deliver and manage the mobile infrastructure that enables digital Britain. This is achieved by providing Transmission, Infrastructure Assurance and Tower and Operational Services to EE/BT and Three. The Operational Services directorate is accountable for ensuring the network sites are always accessible and available. It undertakes the operation, enablement, and management of the network infrastructure to enable EE/BT and Three to deliver their best customer experiences at the lowest cost.
Reporting to the Planned Works Governance Manager, this role will manage the delivery of Change Enablement services by the supplier ecosystem to achieve agreed business outcomes and performance targets set by EE/BT, Three and the MBNL AOP (Annual Operating Plan). Working with teams in the supplier ecosystem, you will assist and proactively manage service availability, risk and impact of all changes implemented across the MBNL estate against contractual obligations and industry benchmarks.
What you will do:
- Proactively manage the Change mailbox, responding to requests & queries in a timely manner.
- Ensure that reports are run at specific times as per requirements.
- Ensure all emergency changes contain the required justification, sponsorship, and detail to allow the MBNL Change Manager to approve.
- Manage Golden Site outages & ensure the Shareholder Service Management teams are notified in advance.
- Perform trend analysis of Permit Efficiency & Utilisation to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure outages requested are realistic and aligned to the type of activity being completed.
- Proactively monitor and measure network availability thresholds and quotas.
- Attend Weekly Change Review Boards & Daily/Weekly Network Availability meetings.
- Identify areas for improvement in the Availability, Change, Site Access and Lockdown processes.
- Perform impact and risk assessment of changes to ensure minimal disruption to services and customers.
What we are looking for:
- ITIL Foundation V3/4 or equivalent experience
- Change management and Availability management experience
- Great communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to deliver best in class technical and business services.
- Experience of managing, motivating, monitoring and improving performance of contractors and suppliers.
- Technical understanding of Mobile Telecommunications networks and infrastructure
- Experience in Telecommunication Operations and/or deployment
- Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment
Nice to have:
- Experience of collaboratively working with remotely located, cross-functional teams.
- Safety/quality/compliance knowledge of mobile or fixed network technologies.
- Experience of BMC Remedy
- Experience of working in or with a JV organisation.
