Project Partners are now recruiting for an experienced Ganger to come and join their team based in Ham Hill on a permanent, full-time basis. The purpose of this role is to lead a team of up to two operatives undertaking civils work on the drainage network.

Job responsibilities:

  • To undertake a daily pre-start, Point of Works Risk Assessment (POWRA) and brief the risk to your team members and to all visitors to site and get same to sign acknowledgement.
  • To carry out civils work as described in the work order in a timely and safe fashion, including but not limited: dig down repair, manhole rebuilds/Covers, and AFD/interceptor install/removal.
  • To order plant and materials via supervisor from site.
  • To always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (clothing) which is provided by the Company.
  • To be able to use a hand-held device to capture the relevant information from the job.
  • To complete paperwork in tidy and timely manner.
  • To ensure that any vehicle you are driving is road worthy before you drive it by undertaking and recording daily vehicle checks including for trailers and towable plant.
  • To ensure that any vehicle you drive is maintained clean and in good order.
  • To work safely and in accordance with the training received, company work instruction and daily site-specific work risk (SSWR) assessments.
  • To be available to participate in a call out Rota.
  • To receive and follow instructions given by the supervisor/civils manager.

  • Ensures the manager is informed of all site visitors, including the purpose and duration of their visit.
  • Displays a conscientious approach to work, taking pride in high standards and quality outcomes.
  • Reliable and dependable, consistently meeting attendance requirements.
