Project Partners are now recruiting for contractors who specialise in BTS and I&C within Telecommunications. Our long-term client is looking to engage 2–3 experienced BTS Installation & Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of a major nationwide DICI deployment. This opportunity is to provide additional capacity on an established project, with work available across the UK. We are asking for candidates to be based in London and Manchester or surrounding areas. The role will be for ad hoc deployment duties for work on specific DICI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and commissioning Nokia BTS equipment, including GPS antennas, RF jumpers, indoor cabinets, baseband modules, RRHs/RFMs and associated cabling.
  • Carrying out comprehensive testing and completing all required commissioning documentation, reports and checklists.
  • Installing and testing BTS-to-BTS Breakout Box (BOB) or ground-level RRU cabling (up to 10 metres), ensuring correct labelling, tagging and watertight connections.
  • Safely removing legacy equipment, including the disconnection of power and transmission cabling.
  • Installing indoor, outdoor and street works cabinets, including rack assembly, adaptor plates, positioning, doors, panels and associated accessories.
  • Identifying and managing pre-existing external alarms in line with Nokia and BT/EE procedures before equipment swaps.
  • Reporting any pre-existing site defects through the customer's OSDS process and escalating issues to the Indigo back-office team where required.
  • Completing site call testing in accordance with customer processes.
  • Producing and submitting Hand Over Packs (HOPs/SARPs) to customer SLA requirements. Handover documentation is expected to be completed on-site and uploaded to Indigo SharePoint before leaving each location.
  • Providing accurate project updates through customer systems, including NDP-d and Site Tracker, where required.
