Location: Swindon

Type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday work if urgent but not often)

Hours: Shift work: 5am-3pm, 12pm-10pm, 6am-4pm is the current shift to match workload. Must be flexible candidate who is happy to work on shifts.

Salary: £33,046

Main duties will include:

  • Responsible for your own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to site.
  • Always promote and comply with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurate production of DSM products.
  • Ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
  • Complete weekly and monthly stock checks.
  • Control drivers, visitors and contractors coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are always complied with.
  • Report defects.
  • Work with management and contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required.
  • General housekeeping and site improvements.
  • Adhere to environmental policies and procedures (14001) and keeping records up to date.

The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills. Flexibility and initiative are essential. A good level of physical fitness. A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable. Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers. Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Previous experience in concrete/mortar production would be beneficial. Full driving licence.
