Our client is a growing multi-utility and infrastructure delivery partner, currently expanding its capability further in electrical and EV infrastructure. We are now seeking an Electrical Supervisor to support the delivery, compliance, and day-to-day management of electrical works across a growing portfolio of projects.
Job Role:
- Supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors on-site
- Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and company standards
- Supporting inspection, testing, and certification processes
- Coordinating works across LV/HV and EV infrastructure projects
- Ensuring adherence to programme, quality, and safety requirements
- Supporting mobilisation of new projects and teams
- Assisting with site audits, inspections, and quality assurance
- Maintaining strong communication between site teams and management
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS 7671 and relevant regulations
- Support inspection, testing, and certification processes
- Maintain accurate site records, RAMS compliance, and documentation
- Assist with audits and ensure works are always audit-ready
- Promote a strong health & safety culture across all sites
- Operational Delivery
- Supervise electrical works across multiple live projects
- Oversee EV charge point installations (domestic and commercial)
- Coordinate with civils and multi-utility teams for integrated delivery
- Ensure works are completed on time, within scope, and to required quality standards
- Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
- Team Supervision & Development
- Lead and support electricians, mates, and subcontractors
- Ensure teams are competent, compliant, and working efficiently
- Support training and development of operatives where required
- Assist in building a scalable and reliable workforce
- Support to Commercial & Growth
- Provide site-level input into productivity and programme performance
- Support accurate reporting of works completed
- Assist with identifying additional works and opportunities on-site
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Experience Required:
- Proven experience supervising electrical teams on-site
- Strong understanding of site operations, productivity, and programme delivery
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work fronts
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Experience delivering electrical works within utilities, infrastructure, or construction
- Experience in EV charge point installation (desirable)
- Understanding of DNO processes and constraints (advantageous)
Qualifications Required:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent – desirable)
- ECS / CSCS Card (relevant discipline)
- Any additional qualifications or accreditations beneficial to the role
Key Deliverables (First 6–12 Months):
- Successful supervision of electrical works across multiple projects
- High levels of compliance, safety, and quality maintained
- Effective management of site teams and subcontractors
- Contribution to successful delivery of EV and infrastructure projects
- Support in building a reliable and scalable delivery function
This role is critical in supporting the growth and delivery of our clients electrical division, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Location & Travel:
- Head office location – Barnsley, South Yorkshire (provisional base of operations)
- UK-wide role
- Regular travel to project sites and client locations will be required
