The Role

This is a high-impact, fast-paced, and critical role at the heart of Project One. You’ll be the driving force behind our day-to-day business support functions—managing office administration, maintaining essential operational processes, and overseeing key elements of our technology and sustainability initiatives. You’ll bring structure, energy, and organisation to everything you do, while supporting a positive and efficient workplace for everyone. You’ll also manage and mentor our Business Support Administrator, helping them grow and succeed. Think of this role as part Office Manager, part Operational Coordinator, part IT Partner—perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and meaningful influence.

Essential Experience

  • At least 4 years in a similar Office Manager / Operations / Business Support role

The Role in More Detail

Office & Facilities Management

  • Oversee the smooth running of the office, including maintenance, contractor coordination, supplies, and landlord relationships.
  • Manage budgets for business support activities and lead key annual initiatives such as Christmas hampers.
  • Line-manage and support the Business Support Administrator.

IT Coordination & Technology Support

  • Act as primary contact for the third-party IT provider, supporting technology refresh cycles and delivering new starter IT inductions.
  • Maintain the IT asset register and ensure compliance with IT security standards including Cyber Essentials, Intune, and Sharp security.
  • Coordinate Technology Committee meetings and manage annual DR and penetration testing activities.

Corporate Social Responsibility & Climate Initiatives

  • Serve as Secretary for the Climate Collective and support internal sustainability projects.
  • Manage annual carbon footprint calculations.
  • Lead EcoVadis and CDP submissions.

Governance & Business Support

  • Provide secretarial support for governance meetings, including agendas, documentation, and minutes.
  • Maintain governance logistics, business support policies, the annual Governance Calendar, and support Company Secretarial duties.
  • Support annual insurance renewals, budgeting cycles, communications, and serve as Company First Aider.

Bids & Proposals

  • Complete IT, security, and climate-related sections for bids and proposals.
  • Maintain registrations and documentation across bid portals.
  • Support customer RFP requirements as needed.
