You shape the future of product innovation as a core leader driving measurable value for customers, enabling successful launches, and raising reliability standards across Payments Technology. As a member of the Payments Test Product team within the Payments Technology Stability and Resiliency organization, you will define and execute the product roadmap for enterprise testing capabilities used across the firm. You will partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to align business strategy with technology outcomes, ensuring testing products are scalable, resilient, stable, and adopted broadly.

As a Product Manager in Payments Test Product, you act as the voice of the customer and lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization. You will use data-driven insights to prioritize the backlog, improve operational stability, and deliver exceptional internal client experiences. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of payments channels and connectivity models (e.g., API, Host-to-Host, SWIFT, MFTS) and how they influence test strategy, controls, resiliency, and production readiness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve a product strategy and vision that improves reliability, reduces delivery risk, and accelerates time-to-market for Payments programs.
  • Lead discovery and market/customer research to identify root causes, quantify pain points, and deliver solutions that increase adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog to maximize value delivered per release, balancing speed, risk, and resiliency outcomes.
  • Establish and track success metrics (e.g., cost-to-test, test coverage, defect escape rate, flakiness, release readiness, incident reduction, availability) to prove impact and guide prioritization.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering to shape end-to-end designs for testing capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and supportable in complex enterprise environments.
  • Translate business and operational needs into high-quality testing requirements and delivery roadmaps that measurably improve production readiness and stability.
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities to eliminate recurring issues, reduce toil, shorten MTTR, and improve overall operational stability.
  • Facilitate outcomes-driven collaboration with internal teams and vendors to validate architecture, credentials, and testing applicability, ensuring alignment with existing systems and information architecture.
  • Champion Product Owner and SDLC standards across Stability & Resiliency to increase consistency, governance, and use of leading-edge testing technologies.
  • Contribute to the technology center community by leading advancement workstreams, sharing best practices, and mentoring others.
  • Strengthen a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, helping teams operate effectively across a highly matrixed organization.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience (or equivalent expertise) in product management, product ownership, or a relevant domain area.
  • Advanced knowledge of product development lifecycle, design, and data analytics; proven ability to use metrics to drive decisions and demonstrate outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead product lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; experience as a product owner and/or in testing automation with large enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience driving product design and delivery through the SDLC from ideation through launch and support.
  • Strong understanding of payments channels/connectivity such as API, Host-to-Host, SWIFT, MFTS, and how channel-specific behaviors affect testing strategy and resiliency.
  • Experience with Agile software development (or related experience).
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization with multiple stakeholder groups and dependencies.
  • Payments industry knowledge or related experience.
  • Advanced Product Owner skills (multi-period roadmap creation, value sequencing, business case writing).
  • Technical experience (software code literacy, APIs, technical design).
  • External large client-facing experience (e.g., Fortune 500 or large fintech).
