Main Objective

The Product Manager will proactively participate in both product planning and product marketing for their designated product line/s across SEA in supporting the company's overall strategy and goals. This includes development and implementation of product launches and marketing campaigns based on the information gathered from the market, product, and competition, and be the subject matter expert for training internal and external customers on the safe and effective use of Arthrex products. Other responsibilities include consideration of restrictions to market access, financing and risk analysis to achieve the strategic sales and marketing goals of the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the product marketing strategy for assigned portfolio/s across the SEA region.
  • Being the key liaison between the product management team at Arthrex Inc, APAC IPMM team and the SEA region on key product related matters.
  • Providing technical expertise and facilitating resources for training programs to distributors and subsidiaries.
  • Thoroughly demonstrating and explaining product features as well as techniques and servicing Arthrex's product offerings to existing and new customers.
  • Providing continuous product surveillance for established product lines.
  • Supporting Commercial & Sales Managers with identifying product opportunities and/or marketing campaigns and Key Opinion Leaders (Surgeons) to align with product strategy.
  • Collaborating, coordinating and aligning with Marketing Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial teams for new product registration and launches in SEA to ensure business continuity.
  • Working with Operations and Commercial teams on SKU optimisation, and collaborating with Commercial team to develop/maintain a list of priority customers and their product requirements.
  • Overseeing and providing monthly reporting to Marketing Manager on product sales/pipeline in the SEA region.
  • Analysing different target markets for specific intel on: market size/segments, projected growth, types of treatment, patient demographics, market trends, new business opportunities, and providing detailed reporting on market analysis.
  • Creating/editing marketing collateral including social media, website and digital materials in collaboration with Marketing Support Specialist.
  • Participating in medical education activities, supporting the implementation of training workshops/courses and managing events, conferences and symposiums.
  • Adhering to company policies and compliance guidelines at all times.
  • Compliance to Arthrex vaccination and serology policy requirement to perform duties in operating theatres.

Education and Experience

  • Degree qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Science etc.).
  • Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience as a Product or Marketing Manager within orthopaedic medical devices or preferred minimum 6 years relevant Sales experience preferably in Sports Medicine, Endoscopy, Arthroscopy/Arthroplasty, Orthopaedics or related field.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialised Courses and/or Training

  • Able to independently navigate in different complex market environments within SEA for regulatory requirements and market preferences.
  • Analytical with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • High sense of responsibility and reliability, a proactive approach with a structured and independent working style.
  • A team player, who is solutions focussed, with strong engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communicator, efficient time manager and the ability to organise and prioritise.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and handle difficult situations while maintaining professionalism and composure.
  • Commercial, with a strong customer approach, who is also attentive to customers satisfaction and needs.
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise in Arthrex product range.
