Credit Investment Group Portfolio Manager in London

Your role involves designing and implementing investment strategies for leveraged loans and high yield bonds, ensuring optimal risk‑adjusted returns within the fund's mandate. You will manage exposures across CLOs and loan accounts, considering liquidity, credit quality, and sector diversification.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough credit analysis on potential investments, including reviewing financial statements, covenant structures, and market positioning.
• Assessing issuer risk and making recommendations based on creditworthiness and expected performance.
• Executing buy and sell orders for leveraged loans and high yield bonds, maintaining appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitoring portfolio risk metrics, including exposure concentrations, ratings migration, and default probabilities; implementing hedging strategies as needed and proactively managing risks associated with CLO structures and underlying assets.
• Tracking portfolio performance, benchmarking against relevant indices, and preparing detailed reports for internal stakeholders and external investors; providing updates on market conditions, portfolio positioning, and anticipated changes.
• Ensuring all portfolio activities comply with applicable regulations, fund documentation, and internal policies; collaborating with compliance teams to maintain best practices and address regulatory changes.
• Supporting investor communications, including responding to queries, preparing presentations, and participating in due diligence meetings; articulating fund strategy, performance, and outlook clearly and professionally.
• Working closely with analysts, traders, operations, and risk teams to ensure seamless management of the portfolio; mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of excellence and integrity.

Your expertise includes extensive experience in credit investing, with a focus on leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and structured products such as CLOs. You possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency in credit modelling, scenario analysis, and financial statement review.
