We're looking for an ambitious Project Manager - Strategic Review Programme with strong commercial acumen and imagination to play a leading role in identifying and transforming underperforming assets across our portfolio. Working within our Strategic Asset Management team, you'll help shape investment decisions, deliver regeneration opportunities, and maximise both financial and social value for the business and our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex asset reviews, influence investment priorities, and deliver programmes that will have a lasting impact on communities and the future of our estate. This role looks to think big, bringing conceptualisation, design and delivery of new ideas to our assets to ensure they are fit for the future.

The Role

Reporting to the Programme Manager - Strategic Review Programme, you will lead the delivery of options appraisal outcomes across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and land assets. You will manage a programme of strategic reviews, assessing opportunities for conversion, reconfiguration, reinvestment, regeneration and portfolio optimisation. Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Treasury, Development, Property Investment and Active Disposals, you will ensure recommendations are translated into successful projects that support our long-term business plan. You'll also provide leadership to a small technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Day to day you will find yourself:

  • Leading strategic reviews of underperforming properties, land holdings, garages and commercial assets.
  • Managing and delivering options appraisals that identify opportunities for investment, regeneration, stock rationalisation and portfolio improvement.
  • Developing robust financial models, long-term forecasts and Net Present Value (NPV) assessments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluating asset performance at portfolio and archetype level, taking an estate-wide view of investment opportunities.
  • Producing evidence-based recommendations for reinvestment, conversion and reconfiguration projects.
  • Managing refurbishment and regeneration projects across existing residential estates.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to shape long-term investment priorities and asset strategies.

About You

You’ll combine strategic thinking with strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to deliver complex projects in an asset management environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within asset management, strategic asset reviews and options appraisal programmes.
  • Strong project management expertise with recognised project management accreditation or demonstrable experience.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing technical or commercial teams.
  • Excellent financial modelling, analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical, financial and economic data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of options appraisal methodologies and asset review processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role so you’ll be able to base yourself from home. Travel for the role will be required so you’ll have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes and will be suitably located to enable travel within our operating region. Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
