We have extensive experience in ensuring the success of project portfolios for clients by planning and executing projects, as well as playing pivotal roles in the strategy and implementation of large-scale recoveries and initiatives. The Role
We are seeking a professional Finance & Commercial Manager to lead and manage our finance and commercial operations. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational delivery, ensuring financial processes, reporting, and compliance align with our organizational growth and objectives. The role requires two to three days per week in our London office, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee comprehensive financial strategies to align with business growth and efficiency objectives.
- Serve as a key financial and commercial advisor to the executive team, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and operational exposures.
- Lead multi-year financial planning, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and governance requirements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and pensions.
- Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with transparency standards.
- Provide financial insights and support for tenders, bids, and commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, banks, and regulators).
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor and manage purchase orders, contract tracking, and ESG financial reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Full chartered accountant qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience in senior financial management roles, ideally within consultancy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen, including expertise in forecasting, auditing, and financial reporting.
- Desirable: Experience in the infrastructure or transportation industry and familiarity with financial systems.
