Project Green Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Renewable Electrician to install and commission solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charge points. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality renewable energy installations in line with industry regulations and certification standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical competence, attention to detail, and experience working within domestic and commercial renewable environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation & Commissioning
    • Install and commission solar PV systems (roof-mounted and ground-mounted).
    • Install battery storage systems and integrate with new or existing PV systems.
    • Install EV charge points in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
    • Carry out system testing, inspection, and fault finding.
    • Complete system commissioning and handover to customers.
  • Compliance & Certification
    • Ensure all works comply with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
    • Work in line with Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standards where applicable.
    • Install EV charge points in accordance with OZEV requirements (where grant funding applies).
    • Complete electrical installation certificates and relevant documentation.
  • Health & Safety
    • Follow all health & safety procedures on site.
    • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe isolation procedures are followed.
    • Work safely at height when installing roof-mounted systems.
  • Customer Interaction
    • Provide clear explanations to customers during handover.
    • Deliver high standards of workmanship and professionalism on site.
Essential Requirements
  • Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671).
  • Proven experience installing solar PV systems.
  • Experience installing battery storage systems.
  • Experience installing EV charge points.
  • Testing & inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • MCS experience.
  • Experience with hybrid inverters and AC/DC coupled battery systems.
  • IPAF / PASMA certification.
  • EV charge point qualification.
