Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Oracle Financials workstream within a major enterprise transformation programme focused on implementing a unified and automated financial platform. The programme integrates Oracle E-Business Suite, Workday, reporting, and data management solutions - with the goal of automating manual processes, improving forecasting accuracy, and retiring legacy systems. The Project Manager will be accountable for the successful delivery of all Oracle workstream activities, working closely with internal stakeholders and delivery partners. This role reports to the Programme Manager and requires a confident leader who can plan, execute, and deliver independently within a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Control
- Define, plan, and manage the Oracle Financials workstream within the overall transformation programme.
- Maintain clear scope, schedule, and deliverables aligned with programme governance.
- Produce and manage project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and communication plans using PRINCE2 or Waterfall methods.
- Ensure dependencies across Oracle, Data Migration, Testing, Workday, and Reporting workstreams are identified and managed.
- Delivery Leadership
- Lead day-to-day delivery across design, build, test, and deployment phases.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
- Track progress against plan and escalate risks or issues proactively.
- Ensure quality assurance, documentation, and audit readiness for all workstream outputs.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with functional leads, finance stakeholders, and programme leadership.
- Ensure stakeholders have full visibility of progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Support change management and business readiness across impacted teams.
- Represent the Oracle workstream in programme forums and cross-functional reviews.
- Risk & Governance
- Apply structured governance disciplines and maintain transparent reporting to programme leadership.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and constraints; define mitigation actions and drive resolution.
- Ensure compliance with organisational project management standards and delivery frameworks.
About You
- Proven track record managing Oracle E-Business Suite Financials or similar ERP implementations.
- Strong experience leading multi-workstream enterprise projects in structured, regulated environments.
- Confident in budget management, scheduling, and stakeholder reporting.
- Skilled in both business and technical delivery, capable of engaging finance, IT, and vendor teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously, balancing governance with pragmatic delivery focus.
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in project management, ideally within ERP or financial systems delivery.
- Proven delivery of Oracle eBiz Financials or equivalent finance platforms.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies (PRINCE2, Waterfall; Agile awareness desirable).
- Ability to work onsite in Dublin as required to build relationships and embed with the team.
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) desirable.
- Background in global finance or enterprise transformation an advantage.
