We are seeking a skilled and proactive Renewable Energy Field Service Engineer to support our customers across the UK with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of Solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring the performance, safety, and quality of our renewable energy installations while delivering exceptional onsite service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned servicing, reactive maintenance and fault-finding on renewable energy systems, including Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical and system performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective, long-lasting repairs.
  • Commission, test and verify system performance to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Complete all work safely and in accordance with health & safety regulations, company procedures and electrical standards.
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused on-site service, explaining works completed and offering basic system guidance where required.
  • Accurately complete service reports, test results, and job documentation using company systems.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying repeat issues, improvement opportunities and equipment performance trends.
  • Work independently in the field while collaborating closely with the wider engineering and operations teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a field service, engineering, or renewable energy role.
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence < 6 points.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with renewable energy systems.
  • Industry certifications (e.g. electrical qualifications, renewable accreditations).
  • Previous experience in customer‑facing field roles.
