We're running an introductory session with a consultancy ahead of upcoming workstreams, and they're looking to meet 6 Fractional Heads Of / Directors who can bring senior product and transformation leadership into complex organisations. The ideal profiles combine strong retail exposure (supermarkets preferred) with broad capability across finance, supply chain, and digital/operational products - plus the ability to guide governance, org design, and new ways of working in AI-enabled delivery.
Projects will range from 3-9 months. Estimated day rate is £600-£850 Inside and Outside IR35.
Tasks:
- Provide senior leadership across multiple product domains, including finance, supply chain, e-commerce/retail products, and operational workforce tooling (scheduling, clocking-in, timesheets).
- Lead or sponsor large AI programmes, shaping direction from a business and/or product angle, and ensuring initiatives are structured for real delivery rather than experimentation.
- Advise on org design, governance, and operating model, particularly around AI, product ways of working, and how high-performing organisations structure accountability, decision-making, and delivery.
Requirements:
- An independent consultant.
- Consultancy background is preferred.
- Sector experience in retail/supermarkets (preferred), with additional relevance in financial services, consumer, media, or telecoms.
- Director/Head of-level leadership, with proven ability to operate as a fractional leader: setting direction, influencing senior stakeholders, and creating clarity in ambiguous environments.
- Strong AI programme leadership exposure, either directly leading AI programmes/functions, or commissioning them as a key sponsor/customer and driving outcomes across the business.
