We’re supporting a consultancy that specialises in business and digital transformation, known for fostering strong relationships while designing and delivering large-scale, complex transformations throughout the UK.

The Defects Manager is responsible for the end-to-end defect management lifecycle across delivery and testing phases, ensuring defects are effectively triaged, prioritised and resolved. The role provides clear governance, visibility, and control to protect quality and release confidence across IFS-enabled delivery.

Tasks:

  • Own and operate the defect management process across all Test Phases on the Programme
  • Run regular defect triage forums to assess impact, urgency and release risk
  • Track defects through investigation, fix, deployment, re-test and closure
  • Configure and manage defect workflows within Azure DevOps & Smartsheet

Requirements:

  • An independent consultant
  • Strong track record managing defects in complex, multi-stream programmes
  • Hands-on experience working on ERP implementations (ideally IFS)
  • Advanced use of Azure DevOps (or similar) for defect tracking and reporting
  • Previous experience using Smartsheet would be an advantage
