The role:

The business is experiencing exponential growth and is now looking for a Specifier /CAD Designer Specifier to join the team. This is a hybrid role with time split between home, office, and nationwide site visits. This is a customer facing role and you will support the regional BDMs, ensuring accurate and on budget designs and quotations are delivered to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings and requirements to create suitable designs using the Project CURV Whole Solution products.
  • Ensure designs meet clients specific SAP score requirements, where specified.
  • Carry out regular client contact to ensure accuracy and KPIs are met.
  • When required attend site meetings.
  • On acceptance ensure all projects are handed to the Project Management team with all pre-install documentation to include – credit clearance, terms, all customer and lead contractor contact details and pre-install check list.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Ensure that final designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Revise designs and layouts to correct deficiencies or improve productivity.
  • Prepare cost estimates and production schedules for project proposals.
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to gather data and assess project feasibility.
  • Maintain all drawing files, update drawings as needed, and ensure accurate documentation and versions control.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform quality checks on completed designs to identify and rectify errors.

Essentials skills:

  • Ability to read architects drawings and overlay products for installation.
  • Strong Experience of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, architectural, or electrical drafting.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication & Organisational Skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
