Purpose of the Job
- Play a dynamic role in the local management team and provide a supervisory role to staff
- Provide front line support to ensure overall delivery and quality of Project 6 service in West Yorkshire
- Work with our teams to provide leadership and front‑line cover for roles during vacancies, sickness and high service demand
- Supervise, lead and support a team of recovery, support or group workers
- Directly intervene with people who use our services in one‑to‑one group settings to address their problematic alcohol/drug use
- Provide community support for individuals and families to help them make positive lifestyle changes that aid recovery
- Support and signpost individuals and families to engage with other supportive services
Main Duties
- Support and formally supervise workers
- Ensure that your team follow procedures and protocols
- Protect the health and wellbeing of your team
- Review and assess the needs of people who use our service with alcohol or drug problems, in a variety of settings
- Provide work within teams, giving cover and support where directed by the Deputy Director of Operations (WY)
- Support people to improve general health, including dietary needs, personal hygiene
- Help improve their social situation by assisting with housing, benefits, accessing community services and budgeting
- Work with people to remove structural and social barriers to accessing treatment services
- Support individuals and families to access appropriate treatment and recovery services
- Keep accurate, confidential records, including supervision and training records
- Produce relevant documents and reports to support the role
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve services delivered
- Attend and contribute to meetings with other staff and partners
Post Specific Duties
- Lead team and front‑line delivery in a multi‑agency team supporting patients at Bradford Royal Infirmary or Airedale General Hospital
- Run support and recovery groups for people who use our services
- See individuals one‑to‑one in our offices in Keighley, in the community or service users’ homes
