Job Description
Prohibition PR is an ambitious and exciting integrated PR, social and content creation agency. Prohibition has won Best PR Agency of the Year in three of the last five years. It has been in the Top Ten PR Agencies in the North for more than six years and won Best Use of Digital 2023 from the PRCA and the CIPR's Best Use of Media Relations 2023. In 2025, it was shortlisted for two PR Moment Awards.
It has a specialist PR team of 30 that advises high-street consumer brands on how to use public relations and social media strategically.
It is now looking for a passionate PR and Social Media Account Executive to join its growing independent consultancy based right in the heart of Leeds City Centre just off the river.
This is exciting opportunity for someone to perfect their account handling skills, develop their PR and social knowledge and to help the business to continue to thrive and grow.
Clients include Black Sheep Brewery, Cambozola, Astonish, Goldsmiths, University of Leeds, Yorkshire Cancer Research and many more.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for admin on client accounts and ensure that documentation and information is filed appropriately
- Ensure that coverage is on top of at all times (scanning, filing, sending and analysing)
- Responsible for identifying coverage opportunities and developing activity to target successfully
- Support the rest of the account team on day-to-day account activity
- Ensure that any delays or problems are reported back to your team effectively
- Be a ‘news junkie’ – regularly monitor key publications across all clients and take appropriate action to highlight any key stories
- On top of social media trends keeping the client up to date
- Drafting frequent industry news and updates for the Prohibition blog
- Seek opportunities to build relationships with key media
- Stay on top of core media features tracking
- Passionate about creating compelling content for clients across a number of sectors
- Staying on top of multiple actions across a number of different client accounts
Requirements:
- Experience in a PR role – full time, internship, or year placement
- Able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of media titles, journalist contacts and social media platforms
- A great portfolio of media coverage achieved and good media contacts
- A related degree, such as Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, PR, Journalism, Business, English or Creative Writing
Skills:
- Time Management Skills – Ability to support and control a multitude of activities, varying tasks and accounts.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, negotiate deadlines and manage expectations internally and externally
- Proven communication skills to meet requirements of daily contact with client, internal departments and formal presentations
