Overview
I’m currently recruiting for an established and growing business within the security and access systems sector, looking to appoint an experienced Door Entry & Warden Call Engineer.
Please note: prior hands-on experience with Warden Call systems is essential for this role. This position involves working across a varied portfolio including housing, healthcare, commercial, and residential sites, ensuring critical communication and access systems remain fully operational and compliant.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of:
- Warden Call systems (essential)
- Door Entry / Intercom systems
- Access Control systems
This is a field-based role, working independently across multiple sites with responsibility for your own workload and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on warden call, door entry, and access control systems
- Respond to breakdowns within agreed SLAs (including urgent warden call response)
- Diagnose and repair faults across multiple system types
- Install and commission new systems where required
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Deliver a high standard of customer service on-site
- Participate in an on-call rota
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working on Warden Call systems (Tynetec, Tunstall or similar)
- Experience with door entry and/or access control systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Experience meeting SLAs and working across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Tynetec XT2 / Reach Digital / Tunstall systems
- Knowledge of Paxton, PAC, Comelit, Entrotec, Fermax
- Understanding of BS 7671 / low-voltage systems
- Experience in housing or healthcare environments
