ProGroup Recruitment are working with a growing fire protection contractor delivering passive fire projects across the South Coast and surrounding areas including Southampton, Eastleigh, Portsmouth, and Basingstoke. With a steady pipeline of works across residential, commercial, and public sector environments, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple schemes and ensure high standards of delivery, safety, and compliance.
This is a hands-on Project Manager role responsible for overseeing passive fire works from mobilisation through to completion. You'll be managing site activity, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and regulatory requirements. This role will involve travel across the Hampshire region, supporting a range of live sites.
Overview of responsibilities- Manage passive fire projects from pre-start through to completion
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and materials
- Monitor progress against programme and take corrective action where required
- Ensure works are delivered in line with specifications and compliance standards
- Oversee site health & safety and ensure best practice is maintained
- Conduct regular site visits and maintain quality control across projects
- Liaise with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders
- Manage project documentation and reporting
- Proven experience delivering construction or fire protection projects
- Strong site management and organisational skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements on site
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Fire door installation programmes
- Fire stopping and compartmentation
- Fire curtains or specialist fire systems
- Wayfinding or fire safety signage
- SMSTS (essential)
- First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- CSCS (advantageous)
- Salary up to circa. £50,000 per year depending on experience
