About the Role
I am currently working with a growing and well-established specialist within the active fire protection sector, who are looking to appoint a driven Sales Executive to support their continued expansion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, focusing on project-based system installations across new build developments, working closely with M&E contractors and construction partners. This is a predominantly home-based role, offering a high level of autonomy, with client meetings and site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, including cold calling
- Manage your own sales pipeline and diary
- Identify and secure project-based installation work
- Lead opportunities through the tender process to successful award
- Prepare estimates, costings, and detailed quotations
- Build pricing and proposals from scratch using internal templates
- Develop relationships with M&E contractors, developers, and key stakeholders
- Ensure smooth handover of secured projects to the delivery team
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales role within fire protection, M&E, or a technical construction-related sector
- Experience working within the South of the UK market
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to price and build quotes independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
- Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to manage the full sales process from lead generation through to handover
- Technical understanding of fire protection systems and design principles is highly desirable
Package
- Basic salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
