An established and fast-growing fire safety and fire door specialist contractor is seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Estimator to join their team. This is a pivotal role within the business, offering genuine responsibility and progression for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, enquiry-led environment. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the enquiry and early estimating stages, playing a key part in converting opportunities into secured projects. The role:
- Taking full ownership of inbound sales enquiries, responding promptly and professionally
- Interpreting enquiry scopes and issuing relevant RFIs to clarify requirements (training and coaching provided)
- Managing the enquiry stage through to estimating and award
- Preparing estimates for fire door works using existing Excel-based templates
- Chasing estimates proactively to secure live projects
- Managing and maintaining the sales pipeline via HubSpot CRM
- Tracking enquiry progress, conversions, and forecasted revenue
- Supporting business growth by ensuring every enquiry is driven forward with energy and purpose
Large and complex enquiries will be handled by senior management, while this role focuses on volume, momentum, and conversion.
The ideal candidate:
- You will be someone who is commercially sharp, organised, and hungry to succeed. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience within fire doors, passive fire protection, or a related construction environment, particularly in estimating, sales, or commercial roles
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with CRM systems
- The ability to interpret technical scopes and ask the right questions
- A proactive mindset with resilience and persistence when following up enquiries
- High energy, strong attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help grow a business
Candidates from wider construction or building services backgrounds with clearly transferable estimating and sales skills will also be considered.
