This is an excellent opportunity for experienced passive fire compartmentation surveyors to pick up a well-paid out of hours contract across the East Midlands. Two positions are available, working across multiple sites in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The contract runs from 17th August through to 30th November 2026, with all survey findings recorded using OneTrace. Please note: this is an out of hours role working 6pm–2am. Candidates must be fully comfortable with this shift pattern before applying.

As Passive Fire Compartmentation Surveyor, you will carry out detailed fire compartmentation surveys across multiple sites throughout the East Midlands during out of hours shifts. All findings will be recorded accurately using OneTrace, so familiarity with this platform is essential. This is a mobile role covering sites across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, requiring someone who can work independently, manage their own workload efficiently and maintain high standards of accuracy throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed fire compartmentation surveys across multiple sites in the East Midlands
  • Record all survey findings accurately using OneTrace
  • Identify defects and non-compliance issues in line with current regulations and passive fire standards
  • Work independently across multiple sites throughout the shift
  • Maintain accurate and organised records throughout the contract
  • Liaise professionally with site contacts as required
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience carrying out fire compartmentation surveys — essential
  • Experience using OneTrace for survey recording — essential
  • Strong knowledge of passive fire compliance and compartmentation standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
  • Comfortable working out of hours shifts — 6pm to 2am — essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence — required
  • CSCS Card — desirable
  • FIRAS, BM TRADA or IFC knowledge — desirable
