I’m currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Emergency Lighting (EML) Engineer to join a well-established team based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

About the Role

In this position, you’ll be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding of emergency lighting systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. I’m looking for someone who can work confidently on their own, but also collaborate effectively as part of a wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair emergency lighting systems in line with current regulations
  • Carry out routine testing and inspections
  • Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs
  • Ensure all work is delivered safely and to a high standard
  • Produce accurate reports and documentation following site visits
  • Work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Communicate professionally with clients and site staff

Essential Requirements

  • Level 2 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)
  • Level 3 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working with emergency lighting systems
  • Experience with containment (tray, trunking, conduit, etc.)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Electrical Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent)
