I’m currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Emergency Lighting (EML) Engineer to join a well-established team based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
About the Role
In this position, you’ll be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding of emergency lighting systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. I’m looking for someone who can work confidently on their own, but also collaborate effectively as part of a wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair emergency lighting systems in line with current regulations
- Carry out routine testing and inspections
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs
- Ensure all work is delivered safely and to a high standard
- Produce accurate reports and documentation following site visits
- Work independently and manage your time effectively
- Communicate professionally with clients and site staff
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)
- Level 3 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with emergency lighting systems
- Experience with containment (tray, trunking, conduit, etc.)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Electrical Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent)
