We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established housing provider, working across a residential property portfolio in the Swindon area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable, long-term role with excellent benefits and career development.
The Role
- Servicing and maintaining fire alarms, extinguishers, and life safety systems
- Carrying out installations and remedial works
- Working on systems such as emergency lighting, smoke vents, access control, and fire curtains/shutters
- Fault finding, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs efficiently
- Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed
- Managing tools, stock, and equipment effectively
Requirements
- Experience working in fire alarms / fire & security environment
- Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards and compliance
- Ability to fault find and resolve technical issues
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Qualifications (Desirable)
- BS5839-1 and/or BS5839-6
- NICEIC Fire Alarm Units (1, 5, 6)
- NVQ Level 3 (or working towards)
Candidates with solid experience but still working towards qualifications are encouraged to apply — training support may be provided.
