This is a long-term temporary role at £30/hour, with the option of a permanent contract after 12 weeks at a PAYE salary of £45,000 per year. A vehicle and fuel card are provided from day one. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a background in passive fire protection, including both fire doors and fire stopping. This role covers multiple live projects across the West Midlands, primarily within occupied residential properties. Key Responsibilities * Oversee passive fire protection works (approx. 50% fire doors, 50% fire stopping) * Work collaboratively with a second Site Manager to coordinate multiple sites * Liaise with Tenant Liaison Officers to arrange access to occupied properties * Manage teams of up to 15 operatives (direct and subcontracted) * Support with recruitment and onboarding of new operatives as needed * Ensure site safety, quality standards, and compliance are maintained Candidate Requirements * Trade background in fire door joinery or fire stopping * Experience working in occupied social housing (essential) * SSSTS or SMSTS (essential) * Basic DBS (or willingness to obtain) * Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Working at Height, and Face Fit (can be arranged if not currently held) * FIRAS or BM TRADA experience (desirable – training can be provided) * ASFP Foundation or Level 2 (desirable – training can be provided) Benefits * Immediate start with van and fuel card provided * Temp-to-perm route offering long-term stability * Competitive hourly and permanent salary * Ongoing training and industry-recognised qualifications
