An established and growing compliance contractor is seeking an Estimator to join its commercial team, supporting the pricing and tendering of passive fire protection projects across a variety of sectors including healthcare, social housing, education and commercial property. The role involves working closely with operational and commercial teams, and you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially viable quotations for passive fire protection works. You will play a key role in helping the business secure profitable projects whilst ensuring operational teams are set up for successful delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
- Pricing passive fire protection projects, including fire door and fire stopping works
- Reviewing tender documentation and client requirements
- Liaising with clients to fully understand project scope and expectations
- Attending site visits and pre-contract meetings where required
- Working with operational teams to establish project costs and delivery requirements
- Developing pricing models, schedules of rates and commercial proposals
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive rates
