As a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator (Commercial), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality fire protection projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with project managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely project coordination.
- Reviewing and interpreting technical project requirements.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and bespoke proposals for each project.
- Measuring and quantifying sprinkler heads, pipework, and associated materials.
- Conducting site surveys when required.
- Assessing contract values and preparing cost evaluations.
- Issuing enquiries to the supply chain and reviewing supplier quotations.
- Producing tender documentation, presentations, and submittals.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to trainees within the department.
- Applying a working knowledge of basic LPCB regulations.
- Taking on managerial responsibilities where appropriate, depending on experience.
- Working in a hybrid capacity, with an expectation to attend the Crawley, West Sussex office at least four days per week (flexibility to be discussed).
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience within the construction industry, with a solid understanding of MEP services.
- Experience as a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer, or a similar role.
- A minimum of five years’ experience working on commercial sprinkler projects.
- LPCB qualifications, which would be highly advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software.
- A solid understanding of BS EN 12845 standards.
