A leader within the construction sector is looking for experienced carpenters to join their team. You will be working on domestic projects completing kitchen counter fitting (non flat pack) and other interior 2nd fix carpentry work like skirting and doors.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least two years’ experience in carpentry
- A strong background in carpentry and joinery
- Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
- NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
- Experience installing fire doors and frames
- Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
- Experience working on social housing FRA contracts
- Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities:
- Kitchen fitting and general 2nd fix carpentry
- Complete works in line with the manufacturer’s specification
- Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
- Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
- Liaise with customers and members of the general public
