A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works within large residential contracts and other public sector projects are currently looking for experienced 2nd fix and fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on domestic projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works to existing doors and frames. Both fire rated and non fire rated door work available. The works will be based in East London on a single site near Stratford (longer work may be offered if open to other sites after this location is complete).
The successful candidate will have:
- At least two years experience working with fire doors (preferred)
- A strong background in carpentry and joinery
- Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
- NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
- Experience installing fire doors and frames
- Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
- Experience working on social housing FRA contracts
- Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities:
- Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
- Complete works in line with the manufacturers specification
- Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
- Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
- Liaise with customers and members of the general public
