Knowledge and Experience
- Boiler / steam systems
- Industrial building services (sprinkler systems, CHP, process cooling and heating)
- Hydraulics systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Highbay racking
- Conveyor systems
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery, including bearings, shafts, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler and plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production machinery, including high-speed machines, conveyors, and other automated systems
- Respond quickly to mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met
- Support automation and control system enhancements to increase system reliability and production throughput
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety standards and industry regulations (e.g., NFPA, NEC)
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure safe operation of mechanical equipment
- Enforce safe working practices
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address technical challenges and improve the performance of manufacturing equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all mechanical maintenance activities, including repairs, upgrades, and system performance
- Generate and review reports on mechanical performance, system issues, and maintenance needs
Profile
You will be educated to HNC level and have a minimum of 3-5 years experience. Ideally with FLT and Cherry Picker Licence.

- Strong troubleshooting abilities in order to quickly resolve mechanical and control system issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong self-starter capable of independent learning and desire to learn and develop
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and other engineering staff
- Ability to document and explain technical information to non-technical personnel
- Ability to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in mechanical maintenance
