The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Our client is based in London and has a number of businesses ranging from a luxury retail brand, a charity as well as a Private Museum with an extraordinary collection of Teawares to record and preserve tea cultures of the past. the collection totals almost 2000 objects and is the world’s finest and most comprehensive of its kind.
With objects from Europe, Asia and the Americas, and from over a thousand years of history, the Collection is a unique reflection of the importance of tea and the diversity of tea drinking customs across the world.
They are currently looking for a Part Time Curator to join the business and take charge of all things related to the museum (2-3 Days a week depending on Salary)
Duties will include but but not limited to;
- Managing the museum\’s collections by acquiring, researching, preserving, and displaying objects
- Planning and organizing exhibitions
- Securing new items for the collection
- Arranging conservation and restoration
- Handle public relations, fundraising
- Building relationships with third parties
- Involved with various projects for the museum.
This is an exciting role to be part of a unique museum that is only available for private viewings which may link to the other businesses in the group.
To be successful you will have experience as a Curator ideally with decorative arts and have a real interest in this area. Strong education and communication skills are essential for the role.
