Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to meet stringent quality standards.
- Drive defect prevention through robust process controls and error‑proofing solutions.
- Support new product development from concept through to launch.
- Specify and validate equipment, tooling, and fixtures to meet production needs.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives through process optimisation and value engineering.
- Prepare and submit reports detailing capital expenditure requirements, including justification and cost analysis.
- Support capital projects and contribute to CapEx planning and execution.
Requirements
- HND or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial preferred).
- Experience in high‑volume manufacturing, ideally automotive or similar.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream Mapping.
- Practical exposure to Lean methodologies and structured problem‑solving tools.
- Knowledge of automated assembly systems, tooling and test equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt advantageous.
- Experience with CapEx projects or capital investment planning beneficial.
