We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to support delivery on a Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, working within a live environment. This is a fast‑paced project focused on retrofitting and upgrading mechanical systems to meet carbon reduction targets across public sector estates. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the mechanical package delivery from installation through to commissioning
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Coordinate mechanical works within a live environment, minimising disruption to ongoing operations
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and site procedures
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and stakeholders
  • Monitor programme, progress, and quality of mechanical installations
  • Support commissioning and handover processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Package Manager or similar role
  • Strong background in building services / MEP on public sector or refurbishment projects
  • Solid understanding of decarbonisation works (e.g., HVAC upgrades, heat pumps, energy efficiency improvements)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • SMSTS / CSCS (Black or White card preferred)
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes and handover standards

Desirable

  • Experience working on Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) projects
  • Experience delivering projects in live environments (hospitals, schools, estates, etc.)
